The French Heritage of Vietnam: a Francephile’s Asia dream

300px Rickshaw in Hochiminh city The French Heritage of Vietnam: a Francephiles Asia dream

Vietnam is a country rich with history and some of the most amazing outdoor sights anywhere on the planet, as well as the deep influence of French culture from the former colonial period. Ho Chi Minh City is one of the more popular destinations within the country, and there are several area attractions to keep people busy and give them a true sense of what this country is all about. The Cat Tien National Park is a great place to see a rain forest and do some hiking. There are many species of birds to see which is a great experience for even the most novice of birdwatchers. There is also a chance to see some of Vietnam’s most stunning wildlife in its natural habitat. Take a trip to this wonderful country with the good people at Backyard Travel for a well organised tour.

Just outside of Ho Chi Minh City is the area of the Con Dao Islands. There are several Vietnam tours that can help people make arrangements for the forth minute flight to this tropical getaway. At one point in time, these islands were used as a prison colony when the French controlled all of Vietnam. Today it has some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, and some that are still largely undiscovered. There are coral reefs in the coastal waters and a healthy population of Green Sea Turtles. Snorkeling is a great choice for recreation on the islands.

There are other outstanding beaches near the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, but many of them get overcrowded with tourists. Each beach has something to offer visitors, so for those that want to get off the beaten path a bit and avoid the crowds, the beaches at Long Hai and Ho Tram are a great choice. These are both areas where visitors can relax and take in the beauty of the beach without the hustle and bustle of large crowds. The area of Cu Chi is a must stop for visitors because it contains tunnels that the VietCong once used. It is a great place to learn some of the history of the country.

No matter what visitors choose to do while in Vietnam, sampling the local food scene is an absolute must. The area in and around Ho Chi Minh City provides some of the best food that the country has to offer. There are many restaurants like Viet An that offer fresh fish and seafood on a daily basis. These local ingredients combined with some traditional recipes make for a meal that anyone is sure to enjoy. Cay Bang is another restaurant that visitors will enjoy because of the location on the water and the wonderful atmosphere it provides.

Once you arrive in China, you’ll soon discover the beautiful arts and crafts that occupy the country. China is riddled with various paintings, sculptures, and fashion that is sure to stand out. With over 5,000 years of history, you’ll likely run into bronze vessels, Chinese paintings, and Chinese pottery that are hundreds of years old. Much of these items are from the emperors who ruled the land years ago. You should also expect to experience traditional music and operas that only China can provide. For example, China is the most populated country in the world with over 1.3 billion people. Most people have a misperception that everyone in China looks the same, sounds the same, and shares the same tradition and religion. In fact, China is filled with diversity, and has several ethnic groups who practice various traditions and customs. There are roughly 56 known ethnic groups occupying China. Han Chinese people make up over 91 percent of China’s population. The other 9 percent are comprised of the other 55 groups. These 55 groups are spread out over many regions in China.

If there’s one thing you have to experience in China it’s the food. Americans are no stranger to Chinese cuisine. There are thousands of Chinese restaurants in the United States. Although this food may be good, nothing can replace authentic Chinese cuisine from China. You can try things like boiled pork slices, stir-fried pork with soybean paste, dongpo pork, and much more. There are even cooking classes that can be taken on China tours.

While you’re in China, be sure to take in the rich and captivating culture that occupies the land. You won’t regret it! Backyard Travel also offer superb, affordable tours to China.

New trends in Business travel: the growing Mice industry

There are many emerging trends in business. Mice Travel Services Asia are one of the most popular. This stands for a number of things namely; meetings, incentives, conferencing/conferencing and events. All these are formal and planned. Generally they all mean one and the same thing, only that their scope or rather scales and time frame differs. Meetings, and formal ones for that matter, are when more than one person come together to discuss an issue. When looking at incentives, these are travel trips that are given to employees by management as rewards. They are given once a department or individual has attained the set goals and objectives for a particular time. Conferences and conventions are even more related.

A convention is larger than a conference and takes a longer time period to complete and more so to plan and organize than its counterpart a conference. In both, people from different businesses are involved. Now the last one is very confusing, events. These are, we could say functions; they are gatherings that are based on a particular subject.Planning for all these events can be very cumbersome and hence expertise on the field is required. The people that you will hire to do the planning will be in a position to come up with the right theme for your event and advertise it accordingly. Why then should you go through the trouble of holding these functions most especially if they add to your expenses? The importance of Mice Travel is:

  1. It gives you a chance to study your competitor and better your game by focusing on their weaknesses. Through conferencing and conventions, you get to share a ground with your competitors, hence you can dig up more information about them and their business and using this information improve on your products or services.
  2. They are motivational tools mostly incentives. Just the thought of being rewarded gives employees motivation to work harder thus giving you more productivity.
  3. By holding these activities, your employees will meet people with whom they can exchange ideas. This leads to innovation and invention which are no doubt tools of success and expansion of your business.

These are only a few of the, you would say, advantages of Mice Travel.

Definitely, even though Mice Travel is an extra expense on your budget, it is sure worth it. It could be the ladder that you have been searching for the growth of your business.
